You've taken the plunge and invested in Tria's Age-Defying Laser but your laser has stopped working – oh no! You were starting to see those amazing results and you don't want it to stop. What has happened? Here are #5 reasons why your AGE-DEFYING LASER isn't working and how to fix it!
#1 Your laser isn't holding its charge
Not holding a charge can commonly arise from not following the care instructions. As per our care instructions, for assistance, please contact our UK-based customer services team - info@triabeauty.co.uk, they are open from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday (excluding UK bank holidays). If you don't recharge your laser regularly, the device won't be ready when you want to use it.
If, on the other hand, the device is showing as fully charged and when you go to complete your treatment, the battery only lasts for five to ten pulses before showing no power, a battery reset is needed.
#2 The red indicator light is displayed during your treatment
The red light can come on when there's poor contact against the skin. Make sure you're holding the laser correctly against your skin. Tria Beauty has video tutorials available to demonstrate how to sweep the laser against your skin.
If the laser is turning off during treatment, this can also be caused by poor skin contact. To fix this problem, turn your laser off and on again and continue with your treatment. If the red indicator light (!) stays on, then the device has an internal fault. If the laser is within warranty, then the laser needs to be replaced, so get in touch with our customer service team using the contact details in #1 above, please.
#3 The device won't turn on or the sensor won't unlock
If your device won't turn on, the laser either needs to be charged or you have locked the laser. To unlock the device, press and hold the power button until you hear four beeps. Then, release your finger from the power button and it will be ready for your treatment.
If your sensor will not unlock, it is due to the skin tone or hair colour if you have applied a fake tan. You may need to let your fake tan fade before resuming treatment.
#4 The alarm sounds when you place your laser on charge
Remember that the laser will only recharge using the official Tria Beauty UK charger. If you try to use the wrong charger, the alarm will sound.
#5 Not seeing expected results
Not seeing the results you want is often down to how often the treatment is completed. Treat with your laser daily for two weeks during an eight-week treatment course and then you will need a break before resuming another course of treatments.
Not seeing results may also be down to the setting used. You may be using the laser on too low a setting to see the results you'd like. The lowest treatment level allows for your skin to adjust to the laser's sensation, but for optimal results, we recommend that you move upwards through the treatment levels as early as possible once you feel comfortable to do so.
