GUEST BLOG: WHY I WANTED TO GO HAIR-FREE AND MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE TRIA HAIR REMOVAL LASER 4X

I’m Chloe, otherwise known as Lady Writes. I’m a multi-award-winning Beauty Blogger and YouTuber with a real passion for all things beauty related. I’ve spent many years trying out all manner of products, experiences, and devices in the name of finding the very best that the beauty industry has to offer. This has earned me a thorough knowledge of what’s worth it, and what isn’t, when it comes to everything from skincare to supplements. I eat, sleep, and breathe beauty products, so you can trust my opinion and know I’ve dedicated time and effort to ensure my reviews and opinions are fully educated and hopefully, super helpful!

As a 30-something woman, I’ve got my fair share of body hair horror stories. I remember being about 12 and thinking it would be a great idea to see what happened if I shaved my forearms…and instantly regretting the decision! As well as this, I’ve got many memories of the annoyance caused by my body hair: bikini line stubble on holiday, forgetting to shave my underarms before going to the gym…we’ve all been there. If you’re like me and don’t want to live with your body hair, then you’ll know exactly where I’m coming from!

Chloe Brewer The frustrations caused me to try every hair removal option I could find; at 19 trying the awful-smelling hair removal cream (which didn’t work) and then over the years pretty much every razor on the market. Admittedly some were really good, and others weren’t. But shaving only offers a temporary solution to a permanent problem. For me, being hair-free is a lifestyle choice that better fits my everyday routine. As someone with PCOS, I have to shave daily if not twice a day because my hair is dark and coarse. I go to the gym every day so I’m always aware of making sure there are no stray hairs on show and I also suffer a lot with regrowth itch – which drives me mad. Then there’s holidays and swimming, no one wants a stubbly bikini line. For me, eliminating my body hair would make my daily life easier, it would save me time and quite honestly, give me a confidence that no other area of my beauty regime can offer.

As I went through my late twenties and into my thirties, my desire to be permanently hair-free intensified, and matched by the knowledge that any investment into my beauty regime would ultimately be worth it, I tried several expensive devices. Sadly, none of them offered the permanent results they advertised, and I found myself back at square one every time.

When Tria approached me to try their Hair Removal Laser 4X, I was honestly sceptical. Simply because I’d read all the promises and guarantees of multiple IPL devices that had financially set me back a lot of money in my hair-free quest. But I had nothing to lose, so I gave it a go…and I am so thrilled that I did!

Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X

Tria is a laser hair removal option and not an IPL option. This has meant that for the first time I can see results that match the goal: being hair-free. I’m not fully through my treatment cycle yet, but by my third treatment, I’d noticed a real difference in the growth on my legs. The hair was a LOT lighter and sparser in general and the regrowth caused no itchiness. Not only that but on my bikini line within the first use I noticed an entire patch was hair-free – and nothing has regrown since! While this is just my experience, Tria advise that a good level of expectation for results is 3 treatments for a noticeable difference, and 6 for permanent results.

When it comes to understanding why the Tria works better than all the other methods I’ve tried, it comes down to some technology I’ve enjoyed wrapping my head around. In layman’s terms, a laser hair device like the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X has a more concentrated spectrum of pure light that is better directed to the hair follicle than an IPL device which can’t target it as closely. Not only is IPL unable to target the follicle with the same concentration, but some of the light is also distributed to the surrounding skin and not just the follicle. With the Tria, the pure light targets the root, heats it up, and disables its ability to regrow hair. It’s this process that matches all those expensive salon treatments you can get – which I was quoted for once and nearly fell off my chair when the cost was presented!

Purchasing a Tria device is less expensive, with a one-off cost, but it still delivers the same level of laser hair removal that you can expect in a salon because the technology is exactly the same. This instantly saves you money that you can invest in all the good bikinis you’ll be able to wear on your holidays without needing to ever pack a razor again!

Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X

For me, the Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X is unmatched by anything else. The device is so easy to use and the dial guides you through the process step-by-step, with a pulse that allows you to glide along the skin with ease. It also gives me full control of light intensity – which I imagine is really useful for those who feel discomfort when using the device (I don’t have any). As well as this, I noticed results quicker than I expected and I’m actually hopeful that this may be the final solution to going hair-free for life! Thanks, Tria!
